About Caring Hands Care

Meet Dominique, the Caregiver Behind Caring Hands Care

One caregiver. One relationship. Ten years of experience. Caring Hands Care gives Buffalo-area families a direct, personal alternative when they want dependable non-medical support from someone they can actually get to know.

Experience

10 Years of Caregiving Experience

Hi, I'm Dominique. I've spent 10 years helping people through the everyday parts of caregiving that can be easy to underestimate until a family is responsible for all of them.

Sometimes the need is companionship. Sometimes it's groceries, meals or laundry. Sometimes a family caregiver simply needs a few hours where someone else can be there.

Those experiences are what shaped Caring Hands Care. My experience includes:

  • Companionship
  • Respite care
  • Errands and grocery shopping
  • Light housekeeping and laundry
  • Meal preparation
  • Medication reminders
  • Supporting everyday routines
  • Working with adults with disabilities

Why this model

Why Consistency Matters

Large agencies can provide something valuable: scale. Caring Hands Care is intentionally different.

This is a one-caregiver business. When you explain your loved one's routine, you're explaining it directly to the person who will provide the care.

When someone learns how your parent likes their morning, what topics help them engage, what tends to frustrate them or how the house normally runs, that knowledge does not disappear at the end of the shift.

The same person comes back.

For families who value familiarity and direct communication, that can make a meaningful difference.

Difficult days

Experience With Dementia and Behavioral Changes

Sometimes the hardest part of the day is not a task at all. It's helping someone through confusion, frustration or a behavioral change without making the situation worse.

My caregiving experience includes supporting people living with dementia and behavioral changes, de-escalating stressful situations and using sensory engagement and familiar routines to create a calmer environment.

This is non-medical support, not treatment. My job is to learn the routine, understand what is useful and provide the support we agreed on.

Communication

How I Keep Families Informed

Good caregiving also means keeping the family informed.

I can provide updates using the family's preferred communication method so that the person arranging care knows how the visit went and whether anything important came up.

You do not have to wonder what happened after you left.
